Overview

This Guided Expedition will take pilots and passengers to explore three of the most iconic cities in Mexico and Central America.

Our first stop will take us to Panama City; we will stay in a hotel located in Casco Viejo, designated World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. We will also visit the Panamanian jungle and witness the transit of ships through the Panama Canal.

Then, we will fly to the beautiful City of La Antigua, Guatemala, declared World Heritage Site in 1979. Antigua’s architecture and cultural richness make it one of Central America’s most popular cities.

The third city we will visit is Puebla, in Mexico. Home of CST Flight Services where you will receive a warm welcome from our Staff. Puebla, declared World Heritage Site in 1987, is the perfect city to visit museums, temples, and archeological zones.

All lnternational permits and procedures will be taken care of by our Operations Department.

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday 

Tapachula, Mexico

Depart Brownsville, TX (KBRO) and fly to Veracruz, Mexico (MMVR). After clearing customs into Mexico we will fly to Tapachula, Mexico (MMTP) to spend the night.

Day 2: Sunday

Panama City, Panama

We will depart Tapachula and fly to Liberia, Costa Rica (MRLB) where we will refuel the aircraft and receive a boxed lunch. After an efficient turn around coordinated by our local agent, we will continue to the Marcos A. Gelabert Airpot (MPMG) in Panama City. After completing arrival procedures and securing the aircraft we will transfer to Central Hotel, located in the heart of Panama City in the area known as Casco Viejo (old town). After checking in we will meet for dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Monday

Panama City, Panama

Our first guided tour will begin after breakfast. taking us to the Panama Canal and the nearby jungle. We will board a boat and head off on an adventure across Gatun Lake in the Panama Canal passing by monumental cargo ships transiting the waterway. The tour boat will circle rainforest covered islands, allowing us to observe the local fauna. We will then visit the attractions in the Panama Canal, such as the Commission Building and Goethals monument, the former Albrook US Air Force Station, and the Fort Clayton former US army base. We end our tour with a visit to the Miraflores Locks and the Exhibition Center. After lunch we will return to Casco Viejo.

Day 4: Tuesday

Panama City, Panama

You will have this day to enjoy Panama on your own. Walk down the streets in Casco Viejo and visit the monuments, museums, and shops. Recommended tours (not included) can be arranged upon request. Take a day trip to the picturesque town of El Valle de Anton, nestled a dormant volcanic crater. Visit the Biodiversity Museum designed by Canadian-American Architect Frank Gehry. lmmerse yourself in Panama's gastronomy and leam more about the city. Explore Portobelo, a Spanish fortress and Caribbean port of the 17th and 18th centuries. Or learn more about the culture and traditions of an indigenous Embera village. In the evening we will meet for a pre-flight briefing and dinner.

Day 5: Wednesday

Antigua, Guatemala

After breakfast we will depart Panama and fty to Liberia, Costa Rica [MRLB); after refueling and receiving a boxed lunch we will fly to La Aurora lntemational Airport (MGGT) in Guatemala City. After completing the international arrival procedures with the assistance of our local agent, we will transfer to Hotel Camino Real in the city of La Antigua, declared a World Heritage Site in 1979 by the UNESCO. Antigua was the original capital of the Captaincy General of Guatemala from 1541 to 1776 and its beautiful colonial architecture as well as the strong Mayan influence make it an outstanding destination. After checking in we will meet for dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 6: Thursday

Antigua, Guatemala

This day's group tour will take place after breakfast. We will take a guided walking tour of La Antigua to leam about the history and some of the attractions that make this place so unique. Lunch and dinner will be on your own and you will have time in the afternoon to relax or discover the city some more at your own pace.

Day 7: Friday

Antigua, Guatemala

You will have the whole day to enjoy La Antigua and its beautiful surroundings on your own. Optional tours (not included) will take you to explore some of the nearby attractions such as: volcanos, lakes, or Mayan archeological sites. Some may prefer to visit the local museums, market, or historic landmarks in La Antigua, or just take time to rest and relax at the hotel Spa, in the gardens and at the pool. We will meet at the hotel for a pre-flight briefing followed by dinner.

Day 8: Saturday

Puebla, Mexico

We will transfer to La Aurora International Airport to complete international departure procedures. We will fly back to Tapachula (MMTP) to clear customs into Mexico; a boxed lunch will be provided in Tapachula. Then, we will fly to Puebla (MMPB) and transfer to the Hotel Quinta Real, located in the Historic Center of the City. We will meet for dinner at the hotel.

Day 9: Sunday

Puebla, Mexico

Located in a valley surrounded by majestic mountains and volcanos, the City of Puebla is one of the most iconic places in Mexico. After breakfast we will board a touristic trolley car that will take us to visit the landmarks of the Historic Center and learn more about the city’s rich history and culture. After lunch you will have time to discover the city at your own pace. Visit the museums, where you will learn more about culture ranging from pre-Hispanic heritage to contemporary art. If you want to get a feel of the local atmosphere, visit one of the many street markets, where you will surely find beautiful and one-of-a-kind artisanal products created by talented artists and artisans.

Day 10: Monday

Puebla, Mexico

Take this day to visit Cholula, a “Magic Town” where the Aztecs built the world’s largest pyramid by volume known to exist in the world today or stroll through the streets of the Historic Center. Puebla’s colonial architecture, both civil and religious has been remarkably preserved over the years, which makes walking through the streets an extraordinary experience. Visit the churches, where you will be able to appreciate the baroque art and architecture. We will meet for dinner and have a pre-flight briefing.

Day 11: Tuesday

Brownsvile, TX.

Time to depart. After breakfast we will transfer to the airport where we will take off for Tampico (MMTM) to clear customs and immigration out of Mexico and fly back to Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport.
