COVID-19 has affected the way General Aviation operations take place throughout the world and the requirements to enter each country. In this page you will find information for countries within Central America, South America and Mexico.

ARGENTINA

Flights to Argentina partially restarted.

Flights from Australian, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands or United Kingdom to Argentina are suspended.

  • Passengers with a British passport, a Hong Kong (SAR China) passport or a Macao (SAR China) passport who are spouses, partners with registered partnership, parents, sisters, brothers or children of nationals of Argentina. Passengers must complete a 'Declaracion Jurada Electronica para el ingreso al Territorio Nacional' available at http://ddjj.migraciones.gob.ar/app/

Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure.

- This does not apply to passengers with a medical certificate with a positive Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result issued at most 90 days before arrival and proof of medical discharge issued at least 10 days after the positive test.

Passengers must have a health insurance covering any Coronavirus (COVID-19) expenses.

- This does not apply to nationals and residents of Argentina.

Passengers could be subject to quarantine for 14 days.

BELIZE 

VALID FOR:  Unknown

    • A negative PCR test must be taken within 96 hours of travel. Visitors may be selected for random secondary testing during the health screening process. Rapid Antigen test will also be accepted, taken no more than 48 hours prior to arrival. (If pax are unable to take a Covid-19 PCR test before traveling to Belize, they will be required to take a COVID-19 test at the airport. The cost of the test is US$50.00 per person)
    • The Belize Health App must be downloaded (https://www.travelbelize.org/health-safety) and the required information completed within 72 hours of your flight to Belize. 
    • After completing the forms in the Health App take a screenshot of your unique ID and QR code, as it will be requested by a Health Officer upon arrival.
    • All visitors must have a reservation confirmation prior to arrival at a Gold Standard Hotel (https://www.travelbelize.org/health-safety)
    • Face masks and social distancing measures are mandatory.
    • If a traveller experience any covid-like symptoms, the hotel must be advised immediately so they cna activate their Covid response plan. Guests may be tested and placed in quarantine until cleared for departure.

    BOLIVIA *

    Valid Until: February 15, 2021

    Passengers arriving from United Kingdom are not allowed to ener until February 15, 2021. This does not appl to nationals and residents of Bolivia.

    Flights from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden Switzerland and United Kingdom are suspended until Februar 15, 2021. This does not apply to humanitarian, medical evacuation and repatriation flights. 

    Passengers who have been in the last 14 das in the United Kingdom are not allowed to enter until February 15, 2021.This does not apply to nationas and residents of Bolivia.

    Passengers arriving from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay or Peru, must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued at most 3 days before arrival. 

    Passengers arriving from Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbdos, Belize, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guyana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, St. Barthelem, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, Uruguay or Venezuela must have a medical cretificate with a negative COVID-19 RT-PCFR or antigen test result issued at most 7 das before arrival.

    This does not apply to passengers arriving from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, HUngary Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden or Switzerland. 

    Passengers arriving from Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden or Switzerland must present a completed "Health Affidavit for Travelers" upon arrival, and are subjet to self-isolation for  14 days.

    BRAZIL 

    OPEN TO IGA 

    VALID FOR: December 23, 2020 - March 22, 2021

      • Flights from the United Kingdom are suspended.
      • Passengers who in the past 14 days have been in or transited through England or Northern Ireland are not allowed to enter or transit through Brazil.
      • Passengers entering or transiting through Brazil must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) RT-PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish. This does not apply to: passengers younger than 2 years, passengers younger than 12 years and traveling accompanied by a companion. The companion must have a negative RT-PCR test result, passengers in transit who do not disembark the aircraft.
      • Effective 9 January 2021, crew entering or transiting through Brazil must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) RT-PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
      • Passengers and airline crew must complete a Traveler's Health Declaration form at https://formulario.anvisa.gov.br/ and present it upon arrival.
      • Crew are subject to quarantine at a hotel until their next flight.

      CHILE *

      Valid Until: Unknown

      • Passengers who have been in the past 14 days in the United Kingdom are not allowed to enter. This does not apply to nationals and residents of Chile.

      • Nationals and residents of Chile who have been in the past 14 days in the United Kingdom are subject to quarantine for 14 days.
      • Flights from the United Kingdom to Chile are suspended.
      • Passengers are allowed to enter Chile via Santiago (SCL). This does not apply to following passengers, who can enter through all airports: nationals and residents of Chile, parents and children of nationals and residents of Chile, passengers with a certificate of marriage or of registered partnership with a national or resident of Chile, if the relationship is registered in Chile, spouses and partners of nationals or residents of Chile registered abroad with a safe-conduct issued by a consulate of Chile.
      • Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR SARS-CoV-2 test, taken at most 72 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Chile. This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years.
      • An Affidavit for Travellers to Prevent Coronavirus Diseases (COVID-19) (Declaracion Jurada) must be completed at www.c19.cl at most 48 hours before arrival.
      • Passengers must have a travel insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 30,000 to cover of all expenses originated by Coronavirus (COVID-19), e.g., medical treatments, repatriation costs, etc. This does not apply to nationals and residents of Chile.
      • Passengers must undergo 'Passenger Tracking' for 14 days or until they leave Chile.
      • Passengers could be subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19) test upon arrival.
      • Passengers are subject to quarantine.
      COLOMBIA *

      As per Civil Aviation Authority communication, airports are required to train their personnel on emergency planning, in addition to facilitate areas for communication by the health authority.

      All passengers are required to wear face masks

      Passengers withouth a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 96 hours before departure are subject to COVID-19 test upon arrival and quarantine until the result is ready, or quarantine for 14 days.

      Crew and Passengers must register at https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/public/preregistro.jsf 24 hours and up to1 hour before the intended arrival AND departure.

        COSTA RICA

        VALID UNTIL: November 25, 2020 - January 31, 2021

        1. 48 hours prior to planned arrival date approval must be obtained from the Civil Aviation Authorities and the Health Ministry.
        2. All visitors must comply with the Health Pass Form https://salud.go.cr.
        3. Travelers must present proof of travel insurancethat covers accommodation and expenses generated by COVID-19 disease. Insurance must cover the entire legth of the stay. Recommended insurance providers can be found at: https://salud.go.cr

              Costa Rica citizens, residents and diplomats are exempted.

        • Authorities recommend to avoid travelling if passengers present symptoms associated with COVID-19.

        Limited hours of operation at some airports, confirm services availability in advance. There are no entry or exit restrictions in place. The Federal Civil Aviation Agency has implemented the following measures:

        • Crew must advise ATC if any of the passengers on board display symptoms of illness.
        • Sanitary check points are being set up at every airport to evaluate passengers arriving on domestic or international, commercial, or private flights.
        • Temperature screening in place.
        • Each passenger must fill out a health declaration form available upon arrival, as a fillable PDF or online at: https://afac.hostingerapp.com/
        • Although airports are open to receive intl. operations, some airport and tourism services may be limited.

        PARAGUAY

        • Passengers who have been in the past 14 days in the United Kingdom are not allowed to enter.

The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. Tests accepted are: LAMP tests, Nucleic-acid Amplification tests (NAAT) and RT-PCR. This does not apply to:
            • Passengers with a medical certificate with a positive Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result issued at least 14 days and at most 90 days before arrival. 
            • Passengers younger than 11 years.
        • Passengers must have an international medical insurance with coverage of Coronavirus (COVID-19) treatment costs. This does not apply to:
            • Nationals and residents of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
            • Passengers younger than 18 years who are children of nationals of Paraguay.
        • Passengers must complete a 'Traveler's Health Information' Form at most 24 hours before departure at http://vigisalud.gov.py/webdgvs/page/'vista_viajeros.html . This will generate a QR code which must be presented upon arrival.

          • Flights with a duration longer than 8 hours to Peru are suspended until January 6th, 2021.
          • Passengers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result. Test options are:
              • RT-PCR issued at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point;
              • Antigen test result
              • An epidemiological medical discharge certificate.
          • The test must be uploaded at http://e-notificacion.migraciones.gob.pe/dj-salud/ .
          • This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years.
          • Passengers must complete an 'Affidavit of Health and Geolocation Authorization' at http://e-notificacion.migraciones.gob.pe/dj-salud/ 72 hours before departure.
          • Suspension of visa exemptions for nationals of Korea (Rep.) with normal passport.
