COVID-19 has affected the way General Aviation operations take place throughout the world and the requirements to enter each country. In this page you will find information for countries within Central America, South America and Mexico.

ARGENTINA

All Passengers & Crew Members regardless of vaccine status must:

  • Vaccinated Passengers must:
    • Complete a "Declaracion Jurada Electronica para el ingreso al Territorio Nacional" at http://ddjj.migraciones.gob.ar/app/ at least 48 hours before arrival. 
    • Have health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses. This does not apply to nationals and residents of Argentina.


  • A COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival could be requested randomly at the entry point to Argentina.
  • Unvaccinated Passengers may not be allowed to enter Argentina, during the "Declaracion Jurada Electronica para el ingreso al Territorio Nacional" process, Passengers will know if they will be approved or not. 
  • Fully Vaccinated means: to have a complete vaccination schedule when passenger has a single dose vaccine or the second dose of a vaccine that requires it, administered at least 14 days before entering Argentina.
  • Argentina accepts all vaccines approved by the countries of origin.
  • The government recommends that all visitors age 6 and over undergo a Covid-19 test within 24 hours of arrival, regardless of their vaccination status.

                                • Vaccinated Passengers must:
                                  • Have a vaccination certificate dated at least 14 days before arrival in Bolivia. Fully vaccinated passengers will be exempt from quarantine.


                                • Allowed vaccines: Sinopharm/BIBP, Pfizer/BioNTech, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Oxford/AstraZeneca.
                                • Fully Vaccinated means: Having a two-dose scheme or a single dose in the case of Johnson & Johnson (J&J) with at least 14 days before the date of admission.


                                • Unvaccinated Passengers must:
                                  • Have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. This does not apply to passengers younger than 6 years.
                                  • Undergo to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test at their own expense and self-isolation until test results are ready.


                                Crew:

                                • Vaccinated Crew members must:
                                  • Have a vaccination certificate dated at least 14 days before arrival in Bolivia. Fully vaccinated passengers will be exempt from quarantine.


                                • Unvaccinated Crew Members must: 
                                  • Have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or - a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.                                 Passengers

                                • Vaccinated Passengers must: 
                                  • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure from the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish.


                                • Vaccines accepted are:   Vaccines approved by Anvisa, the World Health Organization (WHO) or the authority of the country in which the traveler was immunized are valid.
                                • Fully Vaccinated means: the application of the single dose or the last dose of the primary vaccination schedule must have occurred at least 14 days before the date of departure. 
                                • Vaccination certificate: must be printed or presented electronically (proofs that are exclusively in QR-CODE format will not be accepted) and must contain the name of the traveler, the commercial name or name of the vaccine manufacturer, the

                                  number(s) of the lot(s) of the applied shot(s) and the ) date(s) of application of the shot(s). 

                                • The application of the single shot or the last shot of the primary vaccination must have occurred at least 14 days before the date of departure.


                                  • Unvaccinated Passengers must:


                                  • Have a negative or undetectable COVID-19 Antigen test or RT-PCR laboratory test performed one day before departure time. Test must be presented in Portuguese, Spanish or English.


                                  Crew:

                                  • Crew members must:
                                    • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure from the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish.


                                  • Crew members can enter without vaccination, but they will have to be isolated during their stay.
                                  • In transit Crew members are subject to quarantine in a hotel room until their next flight.

                                  CHILE*

                                  Passengers

                                  • All Passengers regardless of vaccine status must:

                                    • Have a traveler´s affidavit (Declaracion Jurada) completed within 48 hours before arrival . Available at: https://c19.cl/#/
                                    • Have proof of travel medical insurance that covers a all Covid-19 medical expenses in Chile.


                                  • Diagnostic tests will be carried out randomly at the entry point to Chile. Confirmed cases shall be isolated according to the general health regulations (declared domicile in the C19 or Sanitary Residence).
                                  • PCR test it’s not required to enter Chile, but it’s always recommended.
                                  • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that passengers were fully vaccinated is highly recommended. 
                                  • Fully Vaccinated means: To have completed a vaccination program (2 doses), which must be validated at http://mevacuno.gob.cl for travelers from 6 years of age before entering Chile. The vaccination approval period will be informed to the traveler at the time of making the request, procedure that may take up to 30 calendar days. 
                                  • Allowed vaccines in Chile: Pfizer/BioNTech, Sinovac, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, CanSinoBIO
                                  • The Chilean government no longer requires travelers to obtain a Mobility Pass (“Pase de Movibilidad”) in order to enter Chile. However, a valid Mobility Pass will still be required in many situations, including but not limited to the following: Domestic travel (by plane, bus, etc.), Indoor dining at restaurants, Access to theaters and cinemas, Participation in organized tours & Attendance at large public events (sporting events, concerts, etc.). Mobility Pass Available at: https://mevacuno.gob.cl/.


                                    Crew:

                                    All foreigner crew members must stay in quarantine once they have entered Chile until their next international flight. If crew members do not accept the quarantine requirements, they must: 


                                    • Have a traveler´s affidavit (Declaracion Jurada) completed within 48 hours before arrival . Available at: https://c19.cl/#/
                                    • Have proof of travel medical insurance that covers a all Covid-19 medical expenses in Chile.

                                    • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that Crews were fully vaccinated is highly recommended. 
                                    • PCR test it’s not required to enter Chile, but it’s always recommended.


                                    • In transit Crew: 
                                          • In transit crew are exempt from any COVID-19 requirements as long as they remain at the airport.
                                              COLOMBIA

                                              • Fully Vaccinated means:  Passengers have completed their vaccination scheme or have had their final dose less than 14 days before travel. 
                                              • Vaccines accepted: All vaccines approved by the WHO.


                                              • Unvaccinated Passengers:

                                                Crew:
                                                • Crew members must have:

                                                            COSTA RICA

                                                            • The temporary migration measures established in the framework of the national health emergency due to COVID-19 are repealed. There are no entry restrictions in place.
                                                            • Costa Rica maintains the requirement for the mandatory use of masks, the protocol for washing hands and taking temperatures, as well as compliance with health protocols for each tourist activity.

                                                                                                      • Vaccinated Passengers must:
                                                                                                        • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated
                                                                                                        • Have a negative COVID-19 PCR test or Antigen test taken at most 72 hours before arrival. This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years.


                                                                                                      • Vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V. A combination of vaccines is accepted with doses administered at least seventeen days apart. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years.
                                                                                                      • Fully vaccinated means: A passenger obtains the status of fully vaccinated two weeks after the last vaccination is received. An approved single- dose vaccine. The second dose of an approved two dose vaccine. Any mix-and-match combination of approved vaccines administered at seventeen days apart. Fully vaccinated also includes persons who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus fourteen days to three months ago. In this instance, the following are required to have a “Certificate of Clearance” from a certified medical practitioner stating the relevant results of their positive test and being free from complaints. 
                                                                                                      • Passengers are required to present their vaccination card bearing their names, name of vaccine, date vaccine was given and batch number from an accredited health facility
                                                                                                      • Passengers with a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken at least 72 hours and at most 7 days before arrival who are subject to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test upon arrival at their own expense and quarantine until test results are ready.
                                                                                                      • Antibody tests, rapid test or antigen test will NOT be accepted.
                                                                                                      • Passengers are subject to medical screening.

                                                                                                      • Unvaccinated Passengers:

                                                                                                      • Vaccination exemptions shall be applicable for the following reasons: Passengers who are advised against being vaccinated for medical reasons must present a “Letter of Exemption” from a licensed medical practitioner.

                                                                                                                                      • Complete an online immigration form by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Form Available at: MINISTERIO DE GOBERNACIÓN (migob.gob.ni).  It is recommended to complete this form at least 7 days before arrival.


                                                                                                                                    • There are NO exemptions for Crew members and Passengers In transit or doing fuel stops.
                                                                                                                                    • All of Nicaragua’s ports of entry have biosafety protocols and procedures to detect suspected COVID-19 cases.

                                                                                                                                    PANAMA

                                                                                                                                        • Passengers under 17 years will not have to present a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination record if they are accompanied by an adult when entering Panama.
                                                                                                                                        • Passengers who do not provide a negative test result, are subject to a test upon arrival at their own expense. If it’s positive, they must quarantine for 14 days at a hotel at their own expense.

                                                                                                                                          • Vaccinated Crew Members must:

                                                                                                                                                    • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years. 


                                                                                                                                                    • The certificate must be in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish and have the name of the passenger, the date of birth and the passport/ID number and specify the lot number of the doses received, the date when they were received and the vaccine manufacturer.
                                                                                                                                                    • Fully vaccinated means: Passenger has two doses plus the booster dose. In the case of a one-dose vaccination schedule: the booster dose should also be available.


                                                                                                                                                    Unvaccinated Passengers must:

                                                                                                                                                    • Have a Negative COVID-19 RT-PCR / LAMP / NAAT test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years. 


                                                                                                                                                    • People who already had COVID-19 disease between 10 and up to 90 days prior to entering the country must prove this situation through laboratory results. RNA detection techniques: RT-PCR / LAMP / NAAT or positive antigen test.

                                                                                                                                                          • Fully vaccinated means: Passenger who prove they have received the single dose or the two doses, depending on the type of vaccine supplied, approved by their country of origin.
                                                                                                                                                          • Passengers who have had the virus between 10 and 90 days prior to entering the country are exempted from submitting a negative test. They must certify by means of a molecular biology PCR-RT test or antigen detection test, carried out from 10 (ten) and up to a maximum of 90 (ninety) days prior to  arrival in the country.
