COVID-19 has affected the way General Aviation operations take place throughout the world and the requirements to enter each country. In this page you will find information for countries within Central America, South America and Mexico.

ARGENTINA*

OPEN TO IGA 

Passengers

  • Vaccinated Passengers must:
        • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival.
        • Have a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. This does not apply to: passengers younger than 6 years and passengers with a positive COVID-19 test result issued at most 90 days before arrival and proof of medical discharge issued at least 10 days after the positive test. 
        • Complete a "Declaracion Jurada Electronica para el ingreso al Territorio Nacional" at http://ddjj.migraciones.gob.ar/app/.
        • Have health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses. This does not apply to nationals and residents of Argentina.


  • Fully Vaccinated means: to have a complete vaccination schedule when passenger has a single dose vaccine or the second dose of a vaccine that requires it, administered at least 14 days before entering Argentina.
  • Argentina accepts all vaccines approved by the countries of origin.
  • Passengers under 18 are not required to show proof of vaccination. 


  • Unvaccinated Passengers:
        • Unvaccinated Passengers are NOT allowed to enter Argentina. 


Crew

  • Crew members must:
        • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival.
        • Have a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. 
        • Complete a "Declaracion Jurada Electronica para el ingreso al Territorio Nacional" at http://ddjj.migraciones.gob.ar/app/.
        • Have health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses. 


          BELIZE*

            • Vaccinated Passengers must bring:

              • A COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival.

            • Fully Vaccinated means: Passengers have had the required doses of an approved vaccine, exclusive of any boosters. 

            • Approved vaccines and required doses are the following: Pfizer-BioNTech (2), AstraZeneca SK Bio (2), AstraZeneca-SII Covishield (2), AstraZeneca Vaxzevria (2), Medigen [Taiwan] (2), Moderna (2), Sinopharm (2), Johnson&Johnson / Janssen Cilag (1), Sinovac [Coronavac] (2)

            • Proof of immunization means:digital copy or hard copy of a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card issued and stamped by the relevant health authority of any country, whether laminated or preserved in any other form.


            • Unvaccinated passengers must bring: 
                • A Belize Travel Insurance. Details can be found at https://www.belizetravelinsurance.com/
                • A negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken 72 hours before departure, or
                • A negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result taken 48 hours before departure (This does not apply to Children younger than 5 years of age)

            • Unvaccinated passengers could be subject to quarantine.
            • Passengers who recently recovered from covid, but are unvaccinated must have a negative test for entry. ALL passengers who test positive must quarantine at their own expense for a minimum of 10 days, or until cleared by health officials. 
            • All Passengers who do not have negative test are subject to testing upon arrival at their own expense and could be subject to quarantine.
            • All Passengers are subject to medical screening.


            Crew:
              • Crew Members must have:
                  • A COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival; OR
                  • A negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken 72hours before departure (This does not apply to vaccinated crew); OR
                  • A negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result taken 48 hours before departure (This does not apply to vaccinated crew)

                                  BOLIVIA*

                                  • Unvaccinated Passengers must:
                                    • Have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. This does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years.
                                    • Undergo to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test at their own expense and self-isolation until test results are ready.
                                    • Have insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses. This does not apply to nationals and residents of Bolivia.

                                  • Vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covieshield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V.
                                  • Fully Vaccinated means: the application of the single dose or the last dose of the primary vaccination schedule must have occurred at least 14 days before the date of departure. 
                                  • Vaccination certificate: must be printed or presented electronically (proofs that are exclusively in QR-CODE format will not be accepted)
                                  • Children under 12 are exempt from pretesting if they are traveling with adults who present the required negative test results. Children 2 to 11 must pretest if they are traveling unaccompanied.

                                          • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure from the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
                                          • Have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken at most 24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.                                     CHILE*

                                    Passengers

                                    • Vaccinated Passengers must:
                                      • Have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated
                                      • Have a traveler´s affidavit (Declaracion Jurada) completed within 48 hours before arrival . Available at: https://c19.cl/#/
                                      • Have proof of travel medical insurance that covers a all Covid-19 medical expenses in Chile.


                                    • Diagnostic tests will be carried out randomly at the entry point to Chile. Confirmed cases shall be isolated according to the general health regulations (declared domicile in the C19 or Sanitary Residence).
                                    • Fully Vaccinated means: To have completed a vaccination program (2 doses), which must be validated at http://mevacuno.gob.cl for travelers from 6 years of age before entering Chile. The vaccination approval period will be informed to the traveler at the time of making the request, procedure that may take up to 30 calendar days. 
                                    • Allowed vaccines in Chile: Pfizer/BioNTech, Sinovac, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, CanSinoBIO
                                    • The Chilean government no longer requires travelers to obtain a Mobility Pass (“Pase de Movibilidad”) in order to enter Chile. However, a valid Mobility Pass will still be required in many situations, including but not limited to the following: Domestic travel (by plane, bus, etc.), Indoor dining at restaurants, Access to theaters and cinemas, Participation in organized tours & Attendance at large public events (sporting events, concerts, etc.). Mobility Pass Available at: https://mevacuno.gob.cl/.
                                    • Children under six years of age are exempt from vaccine requirements. 
                                    • Passengers over the age of two must present a negative PCR test taken at most 72 hours prior to arrival in Chile.


                                    • Unvaccinated Passengers must:
                                      • Unvaccinated passengers are NOT allowed to enter Chile unless they comply with one or more of the special requirements in Decree 102 of the Ministry of the Interior. They must undergo a PCR test and a mandatory 7-day quarantine, even if the PCR result is negative.

                                              • Fully Vaccinated means:  Passengers have completed their vaccination scheme or have had their final dose less than 14 days before travel. 
                                              • Vaccines accepted: All vaccines approved by the WHO.


                                              • Unvaccinated Passengers:

                                                            COSTA RICA*

                                                            • The temporary migration measures established in the framework of the national health emergency due to COVID-19 are repealed. There are no entry restrictions in place.

                                                                                                                        Limited hours of operation at some airports, confirm services availability in advance. There are no entry or exit restrictions in place. The Federal Civil Aviation Agency has implemented the following measures:

                                                                                                                            • Passengers under 17 years will not have to present a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination record if they are accompanied by an adult when entering Panama.
                                                                                                                            • Passengers who do not provide a negative test result, are subject to a test upon arrival at their own expense. If it’s positive, they must quarantine for 14 days at a hotel at their own expense.

                                                                                                                                        • The certificate must be in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish and have the name of the passenger, the date of birth and the passport/ID number and specify the lot number of the doses received, the date when they were received and the vaccine manufacturer.
                                                                                                                                        • Fully vaccinated means: Passenger has two doses plus the booster dose. In the case of a one-dose vaccination schedule: the booster dose should also be available.


                                                                                                                                        Unvaccinated Passengers must:

                                                                                                                                        • Have a Negative COVID-19 RT-PCR / LAMP / NAAT test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years. 


                                                                                                                                        • People who already had COVID-19 disease between 10 and up to 90 days prior to entering the country must prove this situation through laboratory results. RNA detection techniques: RT-PCR / LAMP / NAAT or positive antigen test.

                                                                                                                                              • Fully vaccinated means: Passenger who prove they have received the single dose or the two doses, depending on the type of vaccine supplied, approved by their country of origin.
                                                                                                                                              • Passengers who have had the virus between 10 and 90 days prior to entering the country are exempted from submitting a negative test. They must certify by means of a molecular biology PCR-RT test or antigen detection test, carried out from 10 (ten) and up to a maximum of 90 (ninety) days prior to  arrival in the country.
